Hi, I’m Alisa, a multidisciplinary designer & creative technologist specializing in building elegant tools for complex systems.

(About)

I’ve spent the last 8 years helping companies turn ambitious ideas into beautiful, considered interfaces. In my practice, I enjoy being involved in every step of the design process — from strategy and ideation, to prototyping and aligning the tiniest pixel in code. Currently, I am designing tools for scientists & researchers at Reshape Biotech.

Most recently I was at Fable, building a web-based motion design platform for creative teams. As one of the founding designers, I worked on everything from the product strategy to website, reimagining editor architecture, developing Fable’s first design system, and designing some of the core collaboration and animation features.

Prior to that, I drove design on features used by millions of learners at Duolingo, built data visualization and geo-spacial analysis applications for world's leading institutions at Palantir, and contributed to a few early stage start-ups and collectives.

Originally from Moscow, I earned my degree in Communication Design from Carnegie Mellon University, and after spending a number of years in NYC, I’ve lived out of a suitcase for the past two while working remotely around the world. Currently, I’m based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
